Kaizer Chiefs’ Co-Coach Appointment Receives Praise from Former Defender Mokete Tsotetsi

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed changes to their technical team following the departure of head coach Nasreddine Nabi, and former Amakhosi defender Mokete Tsotetsi has welcomed the move.

The Soweto club announced that Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze will serve as co-coaches until the end of the season. The decision aims to provide stability and continuity after a challenging run of results.

Tsotetsi said the appointment makes sense for the club. “I think it’s a good decision to continue with the two coaches. They have been doing well, and there will be continuity because the players understand them,” he said.

He added that the change should help the squad focus on performance. “Things will settle now because players know who is in charge for the season. They can move forward and concentrate on their game. It’s a good decision.”

Youssef and Kaze have already had time to work with the team during the international break. Their challenge will be to stabilize results and guide Chiefs back to winning ways in both domestic and continental competitions.

The co-coach arrangement reflects Chiefs’ strategy of building from within while maintaining tactical consistency, ensuring players adapt smoothly to the new leadership structure.
