Who should Chiefs Sign to Beef up their squad.

Kaizer Chiefs just concluded yet another poor season. This is the second season in a row that Chiefs haven’t picked up any silverware.

Teams like Cape Town City are already busy beefing up their squads, having signed Ayanda Patosi, clearly showing us their intentions for next season. If Chiefs want to compete for Silverware next season, it would be advisable that they beef up their squad and increase the depth in the team.

With players moving around, let us see who Chiefs can capture.

1. Jabulani Shongwe.

Shongwe announced yesterday that he will not be renewing his contract with Bidvest Wits. He would be a needed boost in the midfield.

2. Mzikayise Mashaba.

This season Mashaba did not feature in a lot of games for Sundowns, and it is yet to be confirmed whether he is to renew his contract with Sundowns.

3. Thabo Mnyamane

The Supersport forward had a wonderful first season for the team and he would add much needed depth in the striking department, with the likes of Benard Parker being on the wrong side of 30.

4. Lebohang Manyama

By far the player of the season, Manyama has once turned down Chiefs’s advances opting to sign for Supersport at that time. However should Chiefs approach him this time it remains to be see if he will move to Naturena.

5. Phakamani Mahlambi.

Ten years ago a player like Mahlambi would definitely be plan for Chiefs, however with other teams being able to pay their players well such is not that case. However should he go to Chiefs, he would fit in like glove.
