Morata to leave Madrid?

One of Real Madrid’s want away stars is reportedly close to signing for Manchester United, with reports suggesting a deal could happen in the next 48 hours.

Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo have all been linked with moves to the Red Devils in this window.

However, it seems Morata is closest to joining Jose Mourinho’s side.

While Diario Gol suggested a deal could be completed in the next 48 hours, AS have reported that the striker returned from his honeymoon early to speed up the process.

Morata has apparently already agreed personal terms with the English giants, but the two clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee.

United have reportedly offered €74 million (R1.07 billion) for the 24-year-old, but Real are apparently holding out for an amount closer to €90 million (R1.3 billion).

The Spaniard could become Los Blancos’ most expensive sale in history, overtaking the €75 million (R1.08 billion) United paid for Angel Di Maria.

Real don’t seem to be in a rush to sell Morata, but the player does not want his deal to become a transfer saga. AS believe the striker wants to join United before 8 July, when the club’s pre-season begins.
