Ajax hope to move away from danger zone in clash against Arrows
Ajax Cape Town today face Golden Arrows in a game of paramount importance to the club. Currently placed on 12th position with 16 points, Ajax will be looking to capitalise on home advantage when they face Arrows in a tricky battle at the Cape Town stadium this evening.
The urban warriors are just three points above the bottom three, making Friday’s encounter against Arrows.
Ajax will be without veteran attacker Franklin Cale who is set to be sidelined for up to approximately six weeks as he is set to undergo surgery to his Zygomatic Arch. Cale’s absence could be telling for the Urban Warriors who are desperate for points in a season that has presented several challenges for the club.
Ajax however welcome back versatile defender Abbubaker Mobara following hamstring problems. The 21 year old has been in impressive form for the Urban Warriors this season, and also played an integral role in helping the South African U23 side secure qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
De Sa will thus be relieved to have Mobara back in the fold as the Urban Warriors brace for a potentially tough encounter against a Golden Arrows side that is seventh on the ABSA premiership standings with 21 points.
