Amajita Fall Short To Senegal
Amajita were stun by in form Senegal in a match filled with goals. Amajita lost 4-3 to Senegal. This means that Group B is tied and will go the long way for the decider to see which country will move to the next stage of the tournament. The result means, Amajita, Senegal and Cameroon are all tied on three points going to the final group matches on March 5. Cameroon beat Sudan 4-1 in the earlier match.
Liam Jordan opened the scoring inside the opening minute with a brilliant header. But that seemed to awake Senegal who then came back to equal the score in the second half and later take on the lead. Senegal hit the ground running and made sure that Amajita trail behind and chase the game trying to level matters. Phakamani Mahlambi, Liam Jordan and Luther Singh played well and clicked and were creative. They troubled the Senegal defence but that fell short as Senegal hit Amjita on the counter.
Watching Amajita play is very inspiring and there is great individual brilliance as well played by the youngsters. Today a new Bafana Bafana coach will be announced and we hope whoever the new coach is will scout for young blood and follow local football. Local is lekker and if the coach is a foreigner, he needs to understand the style of play in South Africa and build a young and bright team.
