AmaZulu FC Releases 11 Players
AmaZulu FC Releases 11 Players. It is common for football clubs to periodically release or transfer players based on various factors, such as performance, team dynamics, or financial considerations. These decisions are typically made by the club’s management, coaching staff, and technical team.
On this Monday morning AmaZulu Football Club announced that the are releasing 11 players. In a press conference the club chairman Sandile Zungu confirmed that the club’s entire management, including caretaker coach Ayanda Dlamini and Romain Folz have been let go.
“Ayanda is a great name in the history of AmaZulu. He’s called ‘cobra’ and scored great goals for the club.”
“His contribution of saving AmaZulu in the year of Covid, in the bubble is on record“.
“When he replaced Romain Folz, his mandate was very simple, forget relegation. His mandate was to take AmaZulu to the top eight. He could’ve collected 18 points, which was unlikely but possible.
“His target was to bring us into the top eight and he didn’t accomplish it. He got five points, he did less than 30%, which is not a pass. It wasn’t a stellar performance, in particular by AmaZulu standards,” Zungu said.
Several players are also on the club’s axe list. A total of 11 players have been released. The changes come after AmaZulu only finished in 12th position on the log in 2022/23
Among those is AmaZulu FC legend Lehlohonolo Majoro, who has officially parted ways with the club. The 36-year-old striker scored 27 goals from just over 100 competitive appearances for Usuthu during the course of his two spells with the club.
