Hugo Broos Bashes Two South African Players for Not Having Passports Ready! This is after he had to omit these players from his final 23-man squad.

Hugo Broos has questioned the mentality of South African Football. He was forced to omit players he didn’t want to ahead of Bafana Bafana’s next international matches.

Both Pule Mmodi (Golden Arrows), and Luther Singh (FC Copenhagen, Denmark) were omitted from the squad due to passport related issues.

Mmodi simply doesn’t have a passport and must be left behind for the two matches against Ethiopia.

Singh on the other hand has had his passport expire and needs to attain a new one.

“This has got something to do with attitude, you know your passport isn’t valid anymore, you know months before,” Broos said, after Singh was stuck in South Africa after the Ghana match.

“The same thing for example, in the 34 players there was Mmodi Pule, you contact him, and he says, ‘oh I don’t have a passport’. So, I can’t select him because he doesn’t have a valid passport

“So, this is an attitude you [can’t] have as a professional player, as for Luther Singh, you know months before – why wait for the last day?

“You lose 10 days, you’re out of the team, your coach is not happy because you’re late and you don’t play. You need to have a professional attitude and I hope that’s he learnt a lot from that now.” He added.

Bafana Bafana will take on Ethiopia on the 9th and 12th of October in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Hugo Broos Bashes Two South African Players for Not Having Passports Ready!
