Andile Mpisane‘s Royal AM In Pole Position For PSL Football! Royal AM moved up to the top of the GladAfrica Championship over the weekend.

With only two matches remaining in the NFD, Royal AM will qualify for the DSTV Premiership if they win these 2 matches.

The GladAfrica Championship has seen both Sekhukhune United and Richards Bay FC both occupy the top spot. These teams stayed at number 1 for the majority of the season.

It seemed for the longest of times that either Sekhukhune United or Richards Bay would win the NFD. The newly acquired Royal AM looked like a side which would only threaten to finish on top.

The club was only bought at the beginning of the season. It was acquired from Royal Eagles, and then it was swiftly renamed to Royal AM (Andile Mpisane).

This weekend Royal AM defeated fellow challengers TS Sporting in the GladAfrica Championship. It was a victory which saw the team temporarily move to the top of the NFD table.

Richards Bay hosted JDR Stars on Sunday, and a victory would have moved The Natal Rich Boyz back to the top of the table. However, JDR Stars provided one of the biggest upsets of the season.

They defeated Richards Bay 2-1, to leave Royal AM on top of the table. Qualification into the DSTV Premiership is in their own hands now.

Royal AM play the University of Pretoria and Cape Town All Stars in their remaining two matches. Victory in both matches will see Andile Mpisane and mogul mother Shauwn Mkhize enter the esteemed DSTV Premiership
