Another La Liga Star Faces Tax Fraud Lawsuit.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was accused of evading 14.7 million euros in tax through offshore companies, he is the latest footballer to be caught in the act by fiscal authorities in Spain.
The worlds highest paid athlete according to Forbes Magazine, follows in the steps of FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi, who was found guilty of the same offence although the sum was smaller.
Messi was handed 21 month jail sentence, however he will serve his time in jail but will rather be suspended, due to laws in Spain that state that any sentence under 24 months cannot be served in a jail.
Other stars that have fallen victim to tax laws in Spain are, Javier Mascherano and Brazil star Neymar.
