Arthur Zwane Looking Forward to The DSTV Diski Challenge! The Amakhosi reserve team coach will resume that role over the weekend.

Kaizer Chiefs will play Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the DSTV Diski Challenge opener this Sunday. Head coach Arthur Zwane is eagerly awaiting the reserve league.

The Phefeni Glamour boys made it out of an extremely tough stream last season. After losing to Orlando Pirates in the opener once again, they still had to face Mamelodi Sundowns in their stream.

They made it out from that stream and faced AmaZulu in the semi-finals. They lost to Usuthu, who ended up winning the entire competition.

“I remember it like it was yesterday.” Zwane reminisced with the Kaizer Chiefs media department.

“Since then, I have been watching all the age group teams to gauge the development and progress of the boys to ensure that this season we are more competitive,” he added.

“We have loaned out a number of the boys to other teams in the GladAfrica Championship. We have also had to release some players because of their age.

“We need to ensure that all our boys are ready to compete in the DStv Diski Challenge,” Zwane spoke.

He is one of the busiest coaches in the PSL. 10111 is also a full-time assistant coach for the men’s first team at the club.

He will take charge of the DSTV Diski Challenge game alongside u/19 coach Vela Khumalo. After this encounter Zwane will race to join the Kaizer Chiefs first team.
