Arthur Zwane Wants His Players to Take the Chances They Create! Amakhosi played out to a stalemate against Usuthu this weekend.
Kaizer Chiefs drew 0-0 at home to AmaZulu in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday evening. Head coach Arthur Zwane bemoaned his side’s missed opportunities.
Amakhosi could have easily found the back of the net on more than one occasion in the encounter. Right back Dillan Solomons missed a penalty in the first half. Midfielder George Matlou could not find the back of the net with an empty goal gazing at him.
This is the first time that Amakhosi have drawn in the league this season.
“I think we didn’t have that killer instinct,” Zwane told SuperSport TV after the draw.
“Yes, we did create enough chances you know but we were not clinical enough.
“Two, I think we started very slow, and I believe if we put them under pressure from the first whistle, we were going to get one.
“And you could see with Sekgota, we needed consistency with that, we needed ‘Ash’ to do more of that and Khama as well.
“Unfortunately, we gave them some time and space on the ball because we knew that they going to want to play the ball between the two central defenders and look to connect with the front three.
“I think we dealt with it much better today, but we were still opening those gaps for them to play in between. We could have tried to close the space quickly.
“But it’s one of those where I feel in this game, we deserve more but it was not to be in terms of taking those goal-scoring opportunities.” He spoke.
