Aubrey Modiba Expects Tough Match Against Baroka FC In the DSTV Premiership! The Brazilians take on Bakgakga Ba Mphahlele in the league today.
Mamelodi Sundowns play host to Baroka FC in the DSTV Premiership today. Versatile winger Aubrey Modiba is awaiting a difficult game from the Limpopo based side.
The Brazilians have a huge 12-point lead at the top of the table at the halfway stage of the season. They are on course to win their fifth consecutive league title.
Masandawana begin the second half of the campaign at home to Bakgakga. They are huge favourites to claim all three points.
Especially after coming from a 1-0 win over SuperSport United in the Tshwane Derby on Saturday night.
“We are expecting a difficult game because every team that is in need of points, they make sure that they fight for them,” Modiba told the club website.
“They haven’t been collecting maximum points and they are going to fight really hard. They have Evidence Makgopa who is a Bafana Bafana striker, they also have Sekela Sithole and Athenkosi Dlala in the middle, as well as Denwin Farmer at the back.
“So, I think they are a well-balanced team that works very hard.”
“We’ve watched their games and managed to analyse them so that we can be able to match them. Overall, it’s going to be a difficult one, but we are ready for the task.
“They’ve recently just changed their coach [and] the coach is very familiar with the team. I think they are going to fight to get these points but it’s also up to us to continue with our run and get all the maximum points.”
The visitors played out to a 0-0 draw at home to Cape Town City on the weekend.
“They played well against Cape Town City. We managed to watch their game, they missed quite a few chances.
“Their coaches are going to make sure that they work on all their positives and negatives that they encountered in that game and obviously use those positives in our game.
“It’s going to be an interesting game.” Modiba concluded.
