Ayanda Patosi captured by Cape Town City FC.
Cape Town City have secured the services of Ayanda Patosi. Patosi has never played professional football in South Africa, as he caught the attention of Belgian Pro League side KSC Lokeren during his days with the African Soccer Development Academy in 2011.
Cape Town City confirmed this via their Twitter page this morning. Club owner John Comitis said the following, ” I think this [Patosi’s Signing] just shows our intentions.
“We want to keep up the tempo and we want to keep challenging.
“It says a lot about our brand that we are able to persuade a player to return from Europe and come play for City.
“I am really excited and looking forward to seeing Ayanda on the field with Manyama and Ngoma”.
Cape Town City FC finished 3rd last season and were serious contenders in the race for the league, and they managed to win the Telkom Knockout Cup in their maiden season.
