Ayanda Patosi Spotted In Training with PSL Team!

Ayanda Patosi Spotted In Training with PSL team! Ayanda Patosi is reportedly training with DStv Premiership side Cape Town City as they’re gearing up for the upcoming season of DStv Premiership. He played for the Citizens between 2017 and 2020 before he went abroad.

Patosi’s future with his club in Iran – Foolad FC is said to be uncertain with his contract expiring soon and the rumours suggest that the former Bafana Bafana player might return to Premier Soccer League (PSL).

In the previous campaign, he featured 29 times for Foolad, scored eight goals, and provided five assists. He is in fact one of the regulars on the team.

“No, nobody is happening at the moment hey, every off-season in Iran he comes to Cape Town and has some training sessions with us when he’s off, that’s the same as every other year that he’s been there,” ct city media officer Julian Bailey told KickOff.

“He is still with the club in Iran, that’s the latest as far as I know. The last few years, he’s been joining us for pre-season because they start a lot later than us.

“I’m sure the chairman is beefing up, but with Patosi at the moment, it’s the same as every year, training with us.” The Citizens will be looking to reinforce their squad as they’ve mentioned their ambitions of competing for the league title next season.

PATOSI COMMENTS ON CHIEFS AND PIRATES LINKS

Earlier this year, Patosi was linked with both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. He stated that he’s still uncertain about the future. And he was coy when he spoke about the teams that have offered him contracts.

“I don’t really know what’s going to happen, and I haven’t made my decision. It’s true that I have offers from other clubs as well and I have to be careful and sure in making my decision. I have offers from other clubs in Iran, and there’s another offer from a club elsewhere, but I don’t want to mention the club or country now,” said Patosi as per Soccer Laduma.

“In terms of coming back to South Africa, I am open to anything, and I can’t rule out anything. You can never really know, and I can’t say I won’t be coming back to South Africa next season. I do see articles on[1]the line linking me with a return to SA, and that ( Kaizer ) chief and other clubs are interested in me, but I have not spoken to anyone about joining any of the clubs.”
