Bafana’s next mission will be qualifying for the next year’s Africa Cup of Nations that will be held in cote d’Ivoire. Bafana head coach Hugo Broos will announce the final squad on Thursday.

South Africa open the campaign against Morocco on June 9. SA was going to face Zimbabwe who have now been disqualified since FIFA’s ban on them was not lifted. This means Bafana is left with Morroco and Liberia in the group.

Zimbabwe’s disqualification means Bafana will now qualify if they beat Liberia home and away and get at least a point from the group’s toughest opponents and World Cup-bound Morocco.
