Bafana Bafana is facing Brazil today in an international friendly match and they prepared to give it their all on the field. With the captain Itumeleng Khune out of action nursing an ankle injury, Coach Gordon Igesund replaced Khune with Orlando Pirates keeper Senzo Meyiwa and Thabo Nthethe as captain for this match.
It was reported from SportLive that Gordon Igesund didn’t want to release the team players ahead of the game because Carlos Parreira has knowledge of Bafana Bafana.
“Parreira knows our team and players inside out. So, once he gets an idea of who we’ll play he can give Brazil information on these guys,” Igesund said.
“They’ve been on tour for six weeks and beaten everyone they’ve played quite convincingly. I’m sure they’ll want to come here and continue with that, this being their last game before the World Cup,” he said.
