Bafana shocked by Zambia.
South Africa have surrendered the 18 match unbeaten record after losing 2-1 to Zambia in an International friendly. The match was played in the North West province at the Moruleng Stadium.
The games first goal came through in form Lebohang Manyama, 23 minutes after kickoff. However Zambia was a totally different side in the second half and were able to equalize through Brian Mwila after 72 minutes.
They quickly followed up the equalizer seven minutes later through a goal from Lubinda Mundia. The game was the second game in charge for Stuart Baxter, after beating Nigeria 2-0 in the opening round of Afcon qualifiers.
Coach Baxter was disappointed with the performance and had this to say, “Instead of being a threat to our opponents, we became a threat to ourselves in the second half”
The next major fixture for Bafana comes in the form of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
