Bandile Shandu Looks Set To Join Orlando Pirates! The Maritzburg United right back has left the club after 9 years at with the Team of Choice.

Bandile Shandu has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates all 2021. Now that he has left his team, a move to The Buccaneers is now extremely likely.

Maritzburg United have lost Richard Ofori, Siphelele Ndlovu and Fortune Makaringe to Orlando Pirates in recent years. Bandile Shandu would be the 4th player to complete such a transfer.

The influence of former Maritzburg United player and Coach Fadlu Davids is hugely credited for this.

Should Shandu complete this transfer, he will compete with Wayde Jooste, Thabiso Monyane, Mthokozisi Dube and many more for the right back spot.

“It is with a sense of sadness that we say goodbye to Bandile.” Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia said.

“But we realise it was time for him to spread his wings and experience new things in his football career as he moves on to greener pastures in Gauteng,” Kadodia added.
