Banyana Goalkeeper Andile Dlamini Pursues Career In Music! The Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns star clearly was born for the spotlight, be it in football or her music career.
After some encouragement from teammates, Andile finally went for it and to finally released a track called Unembeza with DJ Tonic HD.
“I love singing with of all heart. My teammates encouraged me to do a song because I was not taking it seriously. This is in me, I love it and I always come up with songs. I guess I have always had a musical background because my grandmother was a pastor and there was a lot of singing at church. My mom used to sing at church, so surely it was in me,” she said.
Andile says she wants people who have believed in her music ability to be proud and she sees herself performing on big stages.
“My favourite is Beyonce. I also like John Legend, Chris Brown, Sam Smith and Adele. Recently I started liking Kelly Khumalo. She’s got a wonderful voice. I like Zonke and Vusi Nova. I love Vusi Nova’s song called I’d rather go blind. But Beyonce is the one I have been listening to mostly,” she said on singers who inspire her.
