Nascimento enjoys time off with family in Brazil

One of the technically gifted we have ever seen in the Premier Soccer League, the Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento is known for his cleverness on and off the ball and being the coolest man at the back.

Although DStv Premiership isn’t over as of yet, however, it seems like Nascimento has been out for quite some time. He recently posted pictures with his family enjoying his time off in his home country. Brazil is one of the world’s greatest destinations for holidays and has a lot to experience.

Nascimento is now with the Durban-based Royal AM that he joined in the January transfer window from Mamelodi Sundowns. He joined Sundowns as an unknown in 2016 from the Portuguese club, Associação Académica
de Coimbra. The Brazilian defender struggled with an injury in his first season but came back and made a name for himself.

At Sundowns he was one of the most trusted penalty takers, bear in mind, he is a defender – a center-back. With Sundowns dominating the domestic football and competing in the CAF Champions League, Nascimento was a regular.

In his six years with Sundowns, Nascimento played 144 games and scored 17 goals. He was released by Downs because they had to open the space for the foreign player Erwin Saavedra.

“I’m very grateful to Sundowns for all these years I have worn this shirt and for all the titles and achievements we have been able to conquer together as a team. I would also like to thank President Patrice Motsepe for all the support he has always given to me and my family,” said Nascimento.

“My departure from Sundowns was due to a request from the club, which needed to open a foreigner spot in the team for this season. So it was time to say goodbye. I’m very happy to announce that I will be joining a new family here in South Africa, the Royal AM family,” added Nascimento, who turned 35 last week.

Did you know? Nascimento once played for the famous Brazilian Serie A club Palmeiras. Famous names like Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, and Felipe Melo have donned the green and white jersey of Verdão.
