Belgium Begin UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying Campaign with Win Over Sweden! The Red Devils started off in perfect fashion.

Belgium defeated Scandinavian rivals Sweden 3-0 in UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying last night. This is a great way to start their new journey.

The Red Devils had a shocking 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar where they were eliminated in the group stages. As a result of that, mass changes followed from their FA.

Roberto Martinez resigned and was replaced by Domenico Tedesco. Captain Eden Hazard retired from international football and Kevin De Bruyne was announced as the new team captain.

Romelu Lukaku scored a hattrick to seal victory for Belgium.

“You have to speak with your teammates and tell them where you want the ball, then they have to do the job and I have to try and make the right run.” Lukaku told UEFA.

“Today was perfect for me, but I have to give the credit to my teammates because we came here with a whole new team. We start from scratch to put a result against a team that really doesn’t lose at home like this.

“To put in a performance like that, we have to be proud of ourselves.” The striker added.

Domenico Tedesco took charge of his first game as Belgium head coach.

“A really good result. I felt a good spirit not only on the pitch but also on the bench.

“The spirit of being united. And then, of course, there’s the victory.” He spoke

“It was a team victory. I’m happy that Kevin [De Bruyne] won his first match as captain. In defence Arthur [Theate] – playing for the first time in that position – Jan [Vertonghen] and Wout [Faes] had a fantastic game. And Romelu [Lukaku] of course, scoring three times. It’s amazing and we’re happy.” He added.
