It is alleged that the benchwarmers at Mamelodi Sundowns aren’t keen on leaving the club because of their huge salaries. This is as the transfer window closed, with not many players leaving Chloorkop.
There was a huge clear-out expected at Masandawana before the transfer window shut last week. This is because of the lack of gametime for these players.
However, only Lyle Lakay and Kermit Erasmus left Sundowns before the transfer window closed. Reports suggest that these players don’t want to leave because of their salaries.
“Some players are no longer playing and the obvious thing is to walk away,” a source revealed to Phakaaathi.
“The challenge is that a few of them have long term contracts with the club and they have already projected how much they will get at the end of the term.
“The club will win trophies and the money is split among everyone whether playing or not and those are one of the factors that motivate some players to stay at Chloorkop,” the source added.
There are a few players who will be expected to not play as much as others this season. Benchwarmers Don’t Want to Leave Mamelodi Sundowns Because Of Money!
