“Today we played a perfect game. Yeah, again we conceded a goal.” He spoke after the game.

“I’m not too sure that Veli will be too happy with conceding. We gave a soft penalty away which we can avoid.

“With all that said we were excellent, our work ethic, the work rate, our desire and our hunger to achieve was just incredible. Huge respect and a lot of love for my players, to go and do that against one of the best footballing teams in the country.

“We know City are a fabulous team, a good footballing team who score a lot of goals and make life difficult for many teams in the league.

“Today we made them look average, these boys of mine don’t know what they are achieving and slowly but surely accomplishing. They are on the brink of creating history.

“For the first time an AmaZulu team to go so many games unbeaten and they are getting stronger and stronger as each game goes on.

“I’m super proud of this team and can’t wait to see what we achieve with this team together. There’s still six games to go. I hope that we keep our focus, maintain being humble, just because we won today doesn’t mean we achieved anything.

“We still have six games to go from achieving what we want to,” the coach concluded.
