Betway Premiership Announces March 2026 Monthly Award Winners

The Betway Premiership has revealed its Monthly Award winners for March 2026, recognising outstanding contributions from players and coaches across the league. Miguel Cardoso, Relebohile Mofokeng, and Ayabulela Konqobe were honoured for their performances, reflecting consistent excellence and game-changing moments during the month. The awards were determined by an independent panel of PSL-accredited journalists and broadcasters, ensuring objective evaluation. These accolades not only highlight individual achievement but also provide fans with insight into the key performers driving their teams’ successes. The March recognitions continue the Premiership’s tradition of celebrating standout contributions both on and off the ball.
Miguel Cardoso claimed back-to-back Coach of the Month awards after guiding Mamelodi Sundowns to four wins from four matches in March. His tactical approach and ability to secure crucial results strengthened Sundowns’ position in the title race, demonstrating a disciplined and effective coaching philosophy. Cardoso’s success came ahead of stiff competition from Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou and AmaZulu FC coach Arthur Zwane, both of whom also delivered strong campaigns. Zwane guided AmaZulu into the top three after winning two of their three fixtures, while Ouaddou maintained competitive form with his squad. Cardoso’s leadership ensured that Sundowns maintained momentum and reinforced their championship credentials during a crucial period of the season.
Relebohile Mofokeng retained the Player of the Month award following a remarkable month for Orlando Pirates. Across four matches, he scored four goals, including the first hat-trick of his professional career against TS Galaxy. His continued influence in Pirates’ attacking play underlined his importance to the team and his ability to perform consistently under pressure. Mofokeng’s recognition reflects not only his goal-scoring output but also his movement, creativity, and capacity to unlock defences. The award reinforces his position as one of the league’s most effective forwards and a player capable of changing the outcome of matches.
Ayabulela Konqobe of Chippa United earned his first Monthly Award by winning Goal of the Month for an exceptional strike against Magesi FC at Seshego Stadium. His finish, taken from outside the box, combined power and precision, immediately marking it as one of the season’s standout goals. This achievement highlights the impact individual brilliance can have even in challenging matches, offering fans moments of skill and excitement. Konqobe’s recognition also demonstrates the league’s commitment to celebrating technical quality across all teams, not only those at the top of the standings.
The Betway Premiership Monthly Awards continue to engage fans through initiatives such as S’bonise & Win, allowing supporters in club colours to win up to R20,000, and the Dial Up games, which offer active Betway account holders the chance to win up to R50,000 at selected fixtures. These programs enhance the fan experience and bring additional attention to standout performances on the pitch. The March judging panel included respected media figures such as Carol Tshabalala, Grant Bisset, Sifiso Ramara, Nolwazi Machi, Brian Letsogo, and Lorenz Kohler, ensuring a balanced and informed selection process. As the season progresses, the awards provide recognition for consistency, excellence, and moments of brilliance that define the Betway Premiership.
