Bongani Zungu Officially Arrives in Ibrox As His Squad Number Is Released! The former Mamelodi Sundowns man has finally linked up with his new teammates at Rangers. Bongani Zungu will also begin work with his long-time idol Steven Gerrard.
Bongani Zungu has finally touched down in Ibrox following his one-year loan stint with the club. He joins after a successful period in Portugal and in France.
Zungu was unable to join up with his new teammates as international duty ensued soon after his arrival. Stringent lockdown regulations also postponed his travel to Scotland.
Ben 10 is now officially in Ibrox, and ready to join up with the squad. Zungu has been given the #15 shirt at the club.
Astonishingly, Zungu is in contention to start tomorrow night’s UEFA Europa League fixture against Lech Poznan.
“Hello everyone, this is Bongani Zungu, I can’t wait to get started. Let’s go!” The South African midfielder exclaimed in his Rangers kit.
Zungu’s football idol Steven Gerrard was excited when Zungu joined the club on transfer deadline day.
“Bongani fits the profile of player that adds further strength and depth to our midfield.
“We made it clear that we wanted a player who will enhance our squad and starting XI. We believe Bongani does this,” Gerrard said on the club website.
