Boyhood Itu Khune Pic In Kaizer Chiefs Jersey Sends Social Media Into Overdrive

Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune drew widespread attention by sending an old pic of his boyhood jersey clad in a Kaizer Chiefs jersey and wearing the captain’s armband and also holding the then Kaizer Chiefs line up.

Khune took to Twitter and Instagram to post the old pic captioned:

Proof that DREAMS DO COME TRUE

True to his boyhood wish and dreams, Khune has gone on to fulfil his dream of both representing Kaizer Chiefs and captaining the Amakhosi ship with aplomb of a veteran despite his youthful years amassing over 300 appearance for the club.

In essence, Khune has become one of the finest goalkeepers to ever emerge from South Africa renowned for his second to none goal distribution qualities and shot stopping ability.

Off the field however, Khune has drawn ire and negative attention due to his macho man antics where he has toyed with different women and girls but recently the goalkeeeper who has been on a long injury lay off seems to have decided to settle down by engaging and pushing through marriage rights of his fiancee Sphelele Makhunga.

Some fans were having a gaffe at Khune claiming that the pic he was holding of the then Kaizer Chiefs squad did not match the age that he claimed to be, literally labelling him an age cheat.

The major concern or queries with most of the fans was mostly because of Khune’s age then with most not believing the gloveman’s current age based on their beliefs of the line-up held by Khune.
