Brandon Truter Thanks the Almighty for Kaizer Chiefs Win! Babina Noko got the better of Amakhosi over the past weekend.

Sekhukhune United claimed a 1-0 win away to Kaizer Chiefs in the DSTV Premiership this weekend. Head coach Brandon Truter was extremely thankful after the unexpected win.

The hosts were celebrating their 73^rd birthday on Saturday, which Babina Noko gate-crashed. Vusumuzi Mncube scored the only goal of the game, after a defensive error by Zitha Kwinika.

“It’s still a work in progress, but Im just happy with the efforts. The guys stuck to the plan, and then we had to manage it once we took the lead,” Truter told Phumlani Msibi of SuperSport TV.

“It’s a question of when do we close shop. We creeped closer. I think it was around the 79^th minute when we closed.

“But we always set them up like that, the square passes at the back. We’re a high pressing team, you can see that now. There were so many opportunities to actually turn it over.

“And last week the same against Marumo [Gallants], when we turned over in a high pressing situation. So, we’re a pressing team, a counter pressing team. We can actually play it, we kept the ball very well in stages, but its still a work in progress.

“I can just say thank you to the guys for being so humble, taking in a lot of information which is different to previously was here. So, I just want to say thank you to the guys for these 3 points.

“Thank you to God, who we give so much glory and praises. We’re a praying team, so many believers in this team as well. So, that’s what we take power from. I can just say thank you and all praise to God.” He spoke.
