Brandon Truter Wants AmaZulu to Go All the Way in The MTN 8! Usuthu take on the Cityzens in the top 8.

AmaZulu visit Cape Town City in the MTN 8 opening fixture of the season. Head coach Brandon Truter wants his team to believe that they can win the competition.

Usuthu are going to that match on the back of a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Golden Arrows in the DSTV Premiership. They are headed into the fixture with the intention of going back to winning ways.

As this is a cup game, there is either a winner or a loser. There are no draws.

“Coming into this MTN8 match against Cape Town City, we have to get on with it, we can’t be licking our wounds,” Truter told the media before the match.

“We are playing 48 hours after a result like that. There are some lessons to be learned from our league games.

“This is a cup game, so it is a once-off.

“We are going to Cape Town we have to field our best available 11 and get on with it. Playing Cape Town City in Cape Town won’t be an easy task.

“We have to go there with a bit of arrogance and self-belief that we can get the result.

“They have had one extra day to rest, it means a lot. We can’t focus on what happened last night in the league.

“Coming into this game it is a cup we want to do well in, so we will give it our best.”
