BREAKING | Pirates Sign Sibisi And Xoki
Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki who will be relocating from Durban to Johannesburg in the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.
Sibisi, who was the captain of Golden Arrows leaves the club that he joined in 2015 from the Multichoice Diski Challenge and later became a steady wall at the back. He ended up earning Bafana Bafana call-ups under the leadership of Hugo Broos.
The 26-year-old was a regular in the team and will surely makes the competition stiff at the back in his new club. This past season, he played 24 games and scored three goals across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Xoki was also a captain at AmaZulu and leaves after spending almost eight years with a club he signed for in 2014 from the Old Mutual Academy.
Playing 38 games in all competitions in the recently ended season should be an enough evidence that he was featuring almost constantly for the KwaZulu-Natal-based side. Xoki’s move to Bucs involves Gabadinho Mhango who goes in the opposite direction.

Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm they have reached an agreement with Golden Arrows for the transfer of Nkosinathi Sibisi.
The Buccaneers have agreed a deal with Abafana Bes’thende, and the player himself, that will see the 26-year-old defender move to Orlando Stadium when the transfer window re-opens on July 1st.
Orlandopiratesfc.com can also confirm the signing of another defender, 27-year-old Tapelo Xoki joins the Club from AmaZulu in a deal that sees Gabadinho Mhango moving to Usuthu.
Before the end of last month, Usuthu’s president Sandile Zungu had already confirmed a swap deal with the Sea Robbers.
“Dr Irvin Khoza did contact me personally about Thapelo Xoki and we’ve spoken, i respect him for the way he handled it, so Xoki will leave us, he played his last game yesterday and Gabadinho Mhango is joining us,” Zungu said as per iDiski Times.
