It is not a popular car amongst DSTV Premiership players. Matter of fact, research says that it is not a popular car among men in South Africa.
However, it does not take away from the quality of Dumsani Zuma’s vehicle.
According to Car Mag South Africa, the Countryman costs anywhere in between R600 000 and R632 000. This means that it is quite a pricey car.
“The face lifted Mini Countryman has officially touched down in South Africa, with the local range comprising two variants at launch.” The magazine states.
“As we reported earlier in 2020, the diesel-powered derivative – which had offered 110 kW and 330 N.m from its 2,0-litre four-pot – has been given the axe in South Africa.
“Instead, the local line-up again comprises the Cooper Countryman (generating an unchanged 100 kW from its 1,5-litre turbo-triple) and the Cooper S Countryman (like the pre-facelift version, churning out 141 kW courtesy of its turbocharged 2,0-litre, four-cylinder heart).
“So, how much are you looking at here in terms of pricing? Well, the Cooper Countryman starts at R599 624, while the Cooper S Countryman is priced from R631 004.” They go on.
But as a Kaizer Chiefs player for a few years now, it means that he has been able to accumulate over a million rand in salary only. So there is no doubt that the forward can afford his own vehicle.
The only question could be whether he bought the car cash or whether he is paying monthly instalments. Either way, he can afford whichever method he opted for.
