On the pitch, Mhango has not had a productive season at all. This has been due to a number of reasons.
Firstly, injuries have conspired against Gabadinho Mhango over the last two seasons. This has prevented him from replicating the form he showed in his debut season at the Soweto giants.
Secondly, he has had some off the field issues this season. Mhango was captured enjoying himself and his entourage in a club in Pretoria.
News broke that the forward owed the club R26 000 for the alcohol they consumed over that weekend. Incredibly, Mhango did not have the money to reimburse the club for the alcohol consumed.
So, the club kept him captive until they could come to a way forward.
These are some of the issues that have stopped Mhango from playing PSL football this season. His last meaningful contribution was last season, when he enjoyed a positive end to the season.
