Eva Nga Claims They Have the Quality to Win the DSTV Premiership! The Cameroonian striker has a lot of belief in the abilities of his teammates.

Orlando Pirates has the necessary qualities to win the DSTV Premiership title according to striker Eva Nga. They would have to fight off the mighty Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Buccaneers last won the PSL title 10 years ago now. This is when they won their second consecutive treble.

They have enjoyed success in the Nedbank Cup and MTN 8, once each, since then. Nga believes they can win the league in this season.

Eva Nga joined Orlando Pirates from Chippa United in the transfer window. The striker has been impressed with the quality they have in the team

“We have quality in the team,” Nga told the club in an interview.  

“We can win the league. We can win many things.

“If you win something with the club, your name is going to be there forever. When they look at the squad of 2022/2023 and what they won, your name is going to be there forever.

“No one can remove your name from there and that’s what I want to do. When I leave here and when they look at the trophies won in 2022/2023, Eva Nga is there.

“I will be happy to help a team that believes in me and give me work.

“I have the confidence in me. I know who I am, I know the player I am,” he added.

“I have a lot of confidence. I know everything will be fine if I keep working hard and listen to the coach.

“If I respect everyone, even the people who give us the kits to wear, I respect everyone and regard everyone as the same. If you are big, you must come in small, it’s those people who will lift you up.

“We have quality players in the squad. I remember watching the 2019 AFCON in Egypt when Lorch scored, I didn’t ever dream that I would play in the same team as Lorch but now here I am today, I watch him, and I see him.

“It is a great team for me. I think I’m blessed, and I need to take this blessing with my two hands and work hard to be here for a long time.”
