Coach Simo Dladla is a very family orientated individual. Take a look at the times he has shown that his loved ones are pivotal to him.

The now head coach is a former footballer, meaning that he has spent all his adult life in the game. As a result, family time is few and far between.

Most professionals have the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones in retirement, as their schedules as footballers is very tough to contend with. But because Dladla is a coach, he still cannot spend as much time as possible with family.

He is married and the lovely couple have two young boys together. He has the platform to spend time with them at the moment as he is suspended from work.

Suspension From Venda Football Academy

Dladla was appointed as head coach of Venda Football Academy in October last year. But after a poor run of results and a lowly position on the Motsepe Foundation Championship, he was suspended from his duties and replaced by Joel Masutha in the interim.

“According to sources close to this publication, VFA have suspended their head coach Simo Dladla following a string of poor results in the second-tier league.” FARPost reported in February

“Dladla joined the Vhembe-based side in October last year. He took over the coaching reigns from newly appointed Mamelodi Sundowns set-piece coach, Michael Loftman.

“Loftman had left his position as the club’s head coach when Dladla was appointed.

“Dladla was previously at DSTV Premiership side Swallows as an assistant coach to Brandon Truter in 2021 before joining VFA.

“The highly experienced mentor in the South African second-tier also had fruitful spells with Real Kings and Richards Bay.”
