Cole Alexander Looking for Some Vengeance Against TS Galaxy! The Phefeni Glamour Boys take on The Rockets in league action today.

Kaizer Chiefs host TS Galaxy in the DSTV Premiership tonight. Midfielder Cole Alexander wants to use this match to get back at an opponent that has already defeated them this season.

In fact, Amakhosi defeated them to usurp them into the top 8 last season. This small rivalry goes back to their first ever tie in 2019, when the minnows defeated the Soweto Giants in the Nedbank Cup final of 2019.

The club bought the PSL status of Highlands Park in 2020 and entered into the DSTV Premiership, where their rivalry went into league action as well.

“We are going to take it as we take any other game and work hard in training. Also, they eliminated us from the Nedbank Cup, so this is a way to get back at them,” Cole Alexander told the Kaizer Chiefs media.

“As a Chiefs player I have not played in front of fans. As a player that always used to play against Chiefs, the crowd was always intimidating.

“For me I am excited to have the opposite of that and to have the crowd for me. That’s a big advantage, because like I said I have played against Chiefs with the crowd intimidating us.

“It will be an advantage for us to have them back,” the midfielder said, as they look forward to having supporters in stadiums from next week.

Alexander made his long-awaited return from injury in the 3-1 win over Chippa United this weekend. He also found the back of the net to claim his first Kaizer Chiefs goal in the victory.

“I was very happy to score my first goal in the Chiefs colours, very very happy for that” he elatedly spoke.

“I am just going to give my best every single day, that is all I can promise. The guys I am playing with, I learn a lot from them.

“They are good professionals on and off the field. I am lucky to be playing with them,” he concluded.
