Collins Mbesuma and James Keene under the spotlight as Wits, Aces clash
Mpumalanga Black Aces and Bidvest Wits today lock horns in a top of the table clash which is sure to produce lots of entertainment given the form both sides have been in recently.
As is almost always the case in most encounters, there will be particular players to watch out for in Friday’s encounter. For Bidvest Wits new acquisition James Keene will again be under the spotlight after a sensational debut saw him providing an assist as well as scoring for the Clever Boys.
Keene an initial Kaizer Chiefs target is hoping to use experience gained in Europe, in a bid to impress his new paymasters who appear determined to go all the way and land the 2015/2016 ABSA premiership crown. Despite shining on his debut Keene will be expecting a much tougher encounter as Wits face Aces, one of the more consistent sides in the PSL this season.
For Aces Collins Mbesuma will be the man to watch out for. Mbesuma has been in devastating form for Aces this season, scoring 8 goals. His goals tally sees him at the top of the goal scorers charts and faced with the possibility of winning the golden boot award for the second time, after topping the scorers charts during his time with Kaizer Chiefs.
Apart from his eye for goal, Mbesuma’s presence in the final third coupled with the ability to hold up play and wait for midfield support will be critical for Aces who have an opportunity of toppling Bidvest Wits from the summit of the PSL standings.
