Cristiano Ronaldo Arrives in Saudi Arabia to Join Al Nassr! The Portuguese superstar recently signed with his new team.
Cristiano Ronaldo was announced as an Al Nassr player last week Friday. He arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday where he will be unveiled in front of his new team.
The rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Al Nassr began during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Nothing was confirmed though, as the striker was focussed on national team duties.
Manchester United terminated his contract before the tournament began, after he publicly criticked the Premier League giants.
“History in the making.” The club announced on their social media.
“This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @Cristiano to your new home @AlNassrFC” the statement read.
The Saudi Pro League is not an unknown league to past European based players. Al Nassr themselves have the likes of Davide Ospina, Luis Gustavo and Vincent Abubaker in their ranks, all players who have previously played in Europe and in the UEFA Champions League.
Ronaldo, who turns 38 next month, has signed a contract which will last until 2025. Cristiano Ronaldo Arrives in Saudi Arabia to Join Al Nassr!
