The South African national soccer team hogged the limelight for not participating at the African Nations Championship which ended on Sunday.

Despite Bafana Bafana’s absence in Rwanda,the nation can however take solace in having had match officials handle the final pitting the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali.

Daniel Bennet and Stevens Khumalo handled the final with distinction ensuring the big game was free of any drama which capitulated other encounters at the Chan showpiece.
