Does Andile Jali Still Have a Future at Mamelodi Sundowns? The experienced midfielder has not had the season of his dreams.
Andile Jali has seen his playing time severely dwindle this season. In addition to this, his contract is coming to an end when the current season concludes.
The expert midfielder has been a mainstay in the Mamelodi Sundowns team ever since he joined the club some 5 years ago. This has been under the management of Pitso Mosimane and the joint management of Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena.
However, things took a turn for the worse when Mokwena was appointed the sole head coach of Masandawana. Mhlekazi has had to watch Teboho Mokoena play in his defensive midfield role.
“You must remember that it is not only Jali that he manages at Sundowns, [but] there is also coach Manqoba [Mngqithi] who is in a similar situation,” an insider close to the Jali camp revealed to Phakaaathi.
“It is understandable why he would be frustrated because if you look at the records of the two (Jali and Mngqithi), it should not be an issue when they have to renew.
“There are inside politics at play as well which Makaab must not, and cannot, speak about openly but we all see what is happening there.”
Rulani Mokwena has insisted that he still has a use for the midfielder in his team. Does Andile Jali Still Have a Future at Mamelodi Sundowns?
