Downs Geared up for Esperance.
Current African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns are set to take on Esperance in a top of the table clash. Sundowns and Esperance currently share the top spot, both teams have four points from their first two games.
The game will take place at the Lucus Moripe Stadium, kickoff is set for 20h00. Coach Pitso Mosimane will however be marching on to an incredible personal record, as the game will be his 200th game in charge of ‘The Brazilians’.
Mosimane took over at Chloorkop on December 2, 2012, replacing Dutch Legend Johan Neeskens. Mosimane found Downs sitting second from the bottom. In his second season he managed to guide them to PSL glory, and since then glory has followed the Giants.
However Esperance will not be a walk over. With three key players out, Khama Billiat, Hlompo Kekana and Anthony Laffor Sundowns will have to dig deep with in their arsenal of quality players.
Downs are yet to win at home this season in the Caf Champions League. They played to a goalless draw against Saint George of Ethiopia.
