“Downs” headache over contract negotiations.
Having lost Ramahlwe Maphahlele to Kaizer Chiefs over failed contract negotiations, Sundowns seem to have learnt their lesson and are in the process of renewing their players contracts.
Teko Modise has already stated that he will not be renewing his contract next month and coach Pitso Mosimane has wished him well.
“There has been lots of talk and speculation about our players. We need to assure our supporters that we are not casual about contracts. We are working hard to finalise them”, he said.
Another player whose contract comes to an end next month is Mzikayise Mashaba who is still negotiating renewal, club captain Hlompo Kekana, Leonardo Castro and Wayne Arendse are amongst several key players who have already put pen to paper and renewed their contracts.
Coach Pitso Mosimane has assureded supporters that the club is in the process of renewing players contracts and should not fear of a mass exodus of players leaving for greener pastures.
The team is also in the process of bringing over Rivaldo Coetzee and negotiations are said to be heating up. If all goes well Coetzee will soon dawn the famous cannery yellow shirt.
