Dr Irvin Khoza Pleads With The Country To Get Vaccinated! The Orlando Pirates and PSL (Premier Soccer League) Chairman received vaccination yesterday (17 May 2021).

Dr Irvin Khoza was among the first to receive Covid-19 vaccination recently. Following this, he urged all South African’s to “do the right thing”.

The Iron Duke queued alongside other South African citizens aged over 60 years old at the Munsieville Centre for the Aged in Krugersdorp. Khoza was ecstatic to be among the first to receive vaccination.

“I’m grateful to be among the first to be vaccinated and I’m here to do what is right for my country so that we may return to normality,” he said.

“As chairman of football, l felt the need to lead by example and vaccinate. This is not about status but about doing what is right.”

After the vaccination, Khoza proceeded to release a statement. He urges ALL South African’s to receive the injections.

“The efficacy of vaccines is beyond question. Over the years vaccines have helped us as a country to keep the doctor away and grow a healthy nation.

“The world has become a village. International trade and travel are at a level where we need to defend against ailments that may originate far from home and yet spread like wildfire the world over.

“The health security of the world is enjoined. Every single person in the world is vulnerable.

“I have taken the vaccine not only for my safety, but for the safety of every person who is going to come into contact with me. There are certain important things in life which unless we do together won’t work.

“Just like safety on the road depends on all drivers observing the rules, vaccines work when we do them as a collective. When your time comes to be vaccinated.

“Please do your part. We have achieved near miracles when we all do what we need to do.
