Edzai Kasinauyo fingered in match fixing

Former Hellenic, Ajax Cape Town and Moroka Swallows midfielder Edzai Kasinauyo has been fingered in a match fixing scandal.

Kasinauyo who spent the better part of his career in South Africa was on Monday suspended from the Zifa Board amid allegations of plans to fix Zimbabwe’s Afcon encounter against Swaziland which is slated for the end of March.

Investigations are ongoing and the Zimbabwe Football Association says they will get to the bottom of the matter. Several personalities in Zimbabwean football are also being linked to the scandal.

It is not the first time match fixing has arisen in Zimbabwe following the Asiagate scandal.
