Ejike Uzoenyi Joins Wits

Bidvest Wits announced the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Ejike Uzoenyi. The 24 years old Nigerian international joined Mamelodi Sundowns last season but has struggled to impress Pitso Mosimane. Lack of game time prompted the fast paced winger to join the Clever Boys on an undisclosed contract deal.

Wits have had great working relations with Sundowns as they signed Elias Pelembe and Mogakolodi Ngele from Sundowns last season and at the beginning of the season let go of Sibusiso Vilakazi to join the Brazilians. Uzoenyi will fight for his place in the Clever boys jersey and is determined to achieve goals of the club.

On the other note, Wits star magician Phakamani Mahlambi and captain Thulani Hlatshwayo have signed contract extensions for the students. The duo have been consistent and performing well for the students and Clever boys out powered struggling Baroka FC last night in a 5-0 thriller at home. Wits will hope they do not repeat the same mistakes as last season whereby they ended the season second. The last few games are crucial and that is where every point, goal and game matters.
