England Defeat Denmark to Reach Euro 2020 Final! The English got past a resolute Denmark side to reach their first major tournament final since 1966.

England beat Denmark 2-1 at Wembley Stadium in their Euro 2020 semi-final matchup. Harry Kane scored the winning goal in extra time.

The brave Danes took the lead in the 30^th minute through a Mikkel Damsgaard free kick. This is the first goal that English goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has conceded in the entire tournament, a total of 480 minutes.

England replied only 10 minutes later. Youngster Bukayo Saka forced an own-goal from Denmark captain Simon Kjaer.

Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box in extra time, with the referee giving a penalty. Harry Kane’s effort was saved by Kasper Schmeichel, but the striker scored from the rebound.

“Unbelievable – what a game though, credit to Denmark.” An elated Harry Kane told the media after the game.

“We dug deep and we got there when it mattered. We reacted really well.

“We’re in a final at home, what a feeling. We know it’s going to be a very tough game against Italy.

“We’ve had a great tournament so far. One more game to go at home, and we can’t wait.” He concluded.

Harry Kane was the Star of the Match after his immense performance.

Denmark have outplayed themselves, to reach this stage of the competition. Especially after the manner in which their tournament kicked off.

“Obviously, it’s a big disappointment that we’re so close to the final.” Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand told the press.

“It has been amazing what the boys have done. There’s a fantastic power within these guys.

“They play football in a fantastic way. We’ve been attacking, scoring goals, and showed our true selves.
