Erick Mathoho is desperate to get playing time, which may lead to his departure from Kaizer Chiefs. He is yet to make an appearance in the PSL in this campaign.
It seems clear in the mind of Arthur Zwane that Mulomowandawo is not in his plans. This has seen his playing time dramatically cut short.
Mangethe has favoured Zitha Kwinika, Edmilson Dove, Njabulo Ngcobo or Austin Dube in the centre back positions for Amakhosi. This is what led to the departure of fellow veteran defender Daniel Cardoso.
Many thought that Tower would follow suit. At 32 years of age, the defender still has a lot to offer any team in the DSTV Premiership.
“The thing is that he knows he does not have that many years left to play,” an insider told Phakaaathi.
“He wants to be on the field playing at his age, but it is not happening at [Kaizer] Chiefs. And it does not look like it will be happening anytime soon.
“That’s why he is open to a move away, but he is yet to sit down with the management and discuss his future.” The insider spoke.
