“The Club can confirm that the following players will not be part of the new season:
– Kwanda Mngonyama
– Abel Mabaso
– Justice Chabalala
– Elson Sithole
– Wayne Sandilands
– Thabang Monare
“Sandilands’ contract comes to an end on June 30 and will not be renewed however, the Club is currently in discussions with Management regarding another role at the Club.
“The Club can also confirm that contractual discussions with Monare have collapsed as the two parties could not agree on terms. The Club would like to wish the players well in their future endeavours,” the statement ended.
As for the new signings:
Makgopa has been a utility player for Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele and as much as it is a good move for him, it’s a terrific loss for the club. The striker played 71 games and scored 15 goals across all competitions for the Limpopo-based club.
Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has also been utilizing him since he took charge of the South African National Team. He has played eight games and found the back of the net three times for the country.
Timm who joins Ezimnyama Ngenkani on a free transfer has been steady in the midfield of Marumo Gallants and will surely make the competition even stiffer. Initially, Timm was rumoured to have signed a pre-contract with Sekhukhune United in January as his deal with the Limpopo outfit would be running out at the end of June, however, there’s been a twist.
The Cameroonian striker Nga was a close friend of the net last season as he scored 10 goals in 29 matches in the league. He’s a big and aggressive forward and the Buccaneers will be hoping to have him as a solution in front of the posts.
The young Matrose is promising to become something beyond special. He emerged as a youngster at Chippa United where he played 14 matches and scored one goal in the league this season.
