Football Fraternity Reacts as Andile Mpisane Guides Royal AM To Macufe Cup Success! The club chairman appeared on the pitch for the first time since 2021 on Sunday.
Royal AM defeated Kaizer Chiefs to win the Macufe Cup on Sunday afternoon. Club chairman Andile Mpisane came on in the second half to a huge applause.
Thwihli Thwahla won 4-2 on penalties to defeat Amakhosi and win their maiden Macufe Cup trophy. Mpisane came on to inspire his team to victory.
Since Royal AM bought the status of Bloemfontein Celtic and made it to the DSTV Premiership, Mpisane did not feature in a single match. He also did not even make it onto the bench during this time.
However, in their last league match against Richards Bay FC, Mpisane was named on the bench, as they lost at home. Khabo Zondo said that he is fit and ready to play.
On Sunday, he came on in the second half, wearing the #10 shirt and he took the captain’s armband. He lifted the trophy as the club captain.
