Former Amakhosi Player Arrested For Drinking & Driving

Valery Nahayo the Burundi international was caught for drunk and driving. The former Kaizer chiefs and Jomo Cosmos central defender was realesed with a R1500 bail. According to the reports from Sunday World, Nahayo was pulled over by Jeppe police recently, and a case of drunken driving was opened against the former Amakhosi and Mpumalanga Black Aces star.

Valery apparently avoided the arrest, claiming he was rushing to the airport to catch a flight to Belgium- where he now plies his trade.

Police confirmed to the paper that Valery was released on bail and is set to appear in the Jeppe Magistrates court in 6 months, after pleading with the judge to allow him to appear when he returns from Belgium in 5 months time.
