Former Miss Sundowns On The Sundowns’ Live Limitless Youth Internship Program

Former Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Faith Nonyane was amongst the guests at the club’s launch of their first ever Internship Program for young people looking to get work experience in the football industry. The Brazilians 2019 reigning Queen took a page out of her experience at Chloorkop to chat about her life changing experiences from the beauty pageant.

She said, “It gave me a platform to inspire my community and it also gave me a platform to advocate for women empowerment and social justice. I always loved Mamelodi Sundowns as a football club, it was really an honor to get an opportunity  to attend almost every home game and all the cup and league finals. I used the price money to pay for my outstanding tuition fees and I went back to school to complete my degree. Today as we speak I’m a member of the Gauteng sport adjudication panel  that was established by the MEC for sport, arts, culture and recreation. My own foundation ‘Provide For Her Foundation’ grew bigger, I got a lot of sponsors and They also gave me a car (Hyundai i20) that I’m still driving and I love it.”

The Tshwane Giants have invited young people between the ages of 18-34 across South Africa to take part in their Live Limitless Youth Internship Program, which offers five positions in five different departments at the club from the start of the upcoming season until December. The chosen candidates will get the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the five different fields – either as a photographer, videographer, Tik-Tok content creator, a journalist or marketing activation – supporter mobilization. Faith encouraged the youth to take full advantage of the opportunities that are made available from South Africa’s top performing football club.

“Mamelodi Sundowns is a big brand, it is recognised world wide and this internship is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to grow their career. I definitely encourage the youth to apply because this is a life changing opportunity. The experience from this internship will obviously be recognised all over Africa and internationally because the brand is well known,” she added.

“It is very challenging for the youth to get employment these days, [that is why] I’m very much excited about this internship program. It gives us hope as the youth to see big companies like Mamelodi Sundowns opening  doors for us.”
