Free State Stars also do some spring cleaning.

After Kaizer Chiefs’s massive overhaul it seems as though Free State Stars have just about emulated Chiefs. After a disappointing season Stars have also gotten rid of players deemed surplus to requirements.

A club statement released said that, Angelo Kerspuy, Thabang Matuka, David Nkausu, Nhlakanipho Ntuli, Mbuyiselo Thethani and Nyiko Tshabangu would not have their contracts renewed at the of of this month.

Other players who are set to leave Stars are, Bokang Tlhone who has already signed a pre-contract with Bidvest Wits, while Moeketsi Sekola will be joining relegated outfit Highlands Park.

The club said, ” They will no doubt be missed”.

Stars finished 14th this season, one place above the relegation zone ahead of Baroka FC only on goal difference.
